Why do some patients have recurring pain even if they receive a myofascial release technique, manual therapy, manipulations, massage, etc.? Is chronic myofascial pain genetic?
We were fortunate to do genetic testing and real-time testing on a grandfather (72), mother (42), and daughter (11). All three had chronic pain and received immediate relief from a myofascial release technique (see pic – looks severe but is extremely effective).
The problem was the pain would return, and they would require a further myofascial release, for pain relief, on a bi-weekly to monthly basis.
No other technique was as effective as this specific MFR technique.
However, the ultimate solution would be to identify the underlying root cause to prevent recurrence.
We found the common cause after doing a genetic panel on all 3 clients.
What we found was extraordinary.
There was a common pattern between all three.
All 3 had a combination of inefficiencies in inflammatory, detox, oxidative stress ( blue genetic panel), and collagen genetics. (see pic with orange genetic panel )
We were able to support these genetic inefficiencies with a personalized plan for each.
We tracked their progress subjectively and objectively and found that they only need support every six months to a year instead of bi-weekly to monthly support.
This correlated with objective measurement improvements in inflammatory markers. All 3 continue to improve and require less and less hands-on therapy.
We also tracked their IL6, HsCRP, organic acids, and fatty acid profiles. All real-time results improved as their need for myofascial release reduced.
